Inspection service for food industry December 1st 2005 Acknowledging that health and safety can be an extremely complicated subject, EFSIS, an independent third party inspection and certification service for the food industry, has introduced a health and safety service.
It combines inspection against legal requirements and best practice, and is based around annual inspections conducted by registered health and safety practitioners.
Carole Payne, food director, comments "We can cover all types of food operations. This is an in depth and full inspection service with a detailed report. It takes approximately two days, depending on the size of the site.
"If any non-conformances are identified, these may be cleared by a revisit and then we issue a certificate showing that the site has passed an EFSIS Health and Safety inspection."
Once a site has been inspected, experts come back once a year to ensure that it remains up to scratch. More articles from Suzanne Howe Communications: |
