New electric strike
December 1st 2006

The need for conical contacts and special templates has been consigned to the past, according to Abloy Security, a company that has introduced to the UK the 351 U80 effeff electric strike.

Designed for use on single and double-action swing doors, the strike has a trigger bolt that doubles as the integrated monitoring contact.

Operable under extreme side pressure, such as that which may exist in the event of an emergency, the device is also pressure resistant to intrusion. Its performance is said to satisfy building control and fire safety officers.

For added security, the effeff 351 can be configured for remote locking and unlocking and exceeds existing fire and safety standards, making it suitable for internal or external fire route doors and applications where a magnet would traditionally be used.
