Fitting way to meet DDA
June 1st 2005

To help builders, contractors and specifiers ensure that commercial and public buildings satisfy the requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act and Building Regulations Pt.M:2004, Kee Klamp has introduced a range of galvanised iron fittings.

Non-discriminatory balustrading and handrailing must be provided on stairways and ramps and the Building Regulations recommend an outside diameter tube size for such installations of between 40 and 45mm.

The new 500 range of Kee Klamp fittings is designed to give a smooth handrail with size 7 tube (outside diameter 42.4mm) and is therefore compatible with the DDA recommendations.

The nine fittings in the range are designed to provide versatility, ease and speed of installation in new or retrofit applications.
