MRSA-protected uniforms
December 1st 2006

Canterbury Christ Church University is piloting MRSAprotected uniforms.

A total of 450 of the faculty of Health and Social Care students in nursing, midwifery, radiography, occupational therapy and operating department practice, have been issued with full sets of MRSAprotected uniforms to wear on work placements in local hospitals.

The uniforms contain Permagard, an antimicrobial treatment that reduces the multiplication and growth of harmful bacteria while the uniform is being worn.
