Skin care programme December 1st 2007 As part of its programme for
continuous updating and
improvement, EnviroDerm
Services is changing the
format of its courses on the
prevention of damage to
health from skin exposure.
The 2008 course
programme will better
reflect the different needs
that exist among those
concerned about keeping
workers safe and healthy.
For the occupational
health practitioner, the well
established half-day course
on skin health surveillance
will remain and will be
accompanied by a new half-
day course on how to
investigate and manage a
skin problem in the
workplace. In addition there
will be a full day course on
occupational skin
management dealing with
the issues relevant for those
involved directly in
occupational health.
For the safety adviser, HR
manager and others more
concerned with the
practical issues relating to
how to create a workplace
where workers's health is
not at risk from skin
exposure, a one-day course
will consider factors such
as: legal requirements,
identification of chemical
hazards, practical
techniques for skin
exposure risk assessment,
risk management (including
selection and use of PPE
such as gloves), design and
equipment of hygiene
facilities, and so on. More articles from Enviroderm Services: |
