Push-in-and-go earplugs
April 1st 2005

Push-in earplugs with grip rings integrated into the foam have been developed by Aearo. They are said to afford excellent protection, with an SNR of 34dB and come with or without a cord.

The foam cone can be inserted deep into the ear canal to form an effective low pressure seal against noise. The ‘mouldable’ shape, combined with the softness of the EAEAER form foam helps to provide all-day comfort.

When earplugs slip in the ear, the attenuation level also slips. Aearo has incorporated grip rings into the foam. These help the wearer position the earplugs for optimum protection and help to ensure that the fit remains optimal.

No roll-down is required and the company says there is no need for the user to wash their hands as the plug’s no-touch stem eliminates the need to touch the foam tip. Push- Ins are ready to use straight from the pack.

The company also makes other PPE, including Peltor ear defenders and communication products and AO Safety eye and face protection products.
