Improved fit for earplugs
December 1st 2006

Howard Leight has redesigned and updated its AirSoft multiple-use earplugs.

Bill Sokol, vice president strategic marketing for the Bacou-Dalloz Hearing Safety Group, says "With AirSoft approaching its 30th birthday, it was appropriate to look for ways to improve upon the original design.

"The improved AirSoft design is easier to insert, fits better and is more comfortable for long-time wear." The company attributes the success of AirSoft to its internal air pocket design.

The improved version has a series of patented, noiseblocking fins within the pocket. As the air pocket compresses in the ear canal, fins interweave to create a noise-blocking barrier optimised to the wearer's ear canal.
