Five year PPE care contract

Five year PPE care contract Humberside Fire brigade has awarded a five year contract to Bristol Care to take full responsibility for maintaining its firefighter PPE.

The contract will involve a regular 7-day turnaround for the collection and return of coats and trousers from fire stations. The kit will be collected by Bristol Care, inspected, washed, repaired and conditioncoded on each trip.

A computer-based tracking system provides a servicing and maintenance history for each garment and is available on demand or can be accessed remotely using a secure internet access via Bristol's website facility.
