Support for those on hard surfaces December 1st 2006 Algeos has introduced an orthotic insert that promises protection and comfort along with many other health benefits. The company says that employees often complain of fatigue, foot, knee and back pain yet few realise that in many cases this is a result of problems with their feet. The Prothotics Semi-Flex has been designed with a carbon base for extra arch support for those who work on hard surfaces for long periods of time. The top cover absorbs perspiration for dryness and comfort, while the fabric reduces friction to prevent irritation to the foot. The urethane cushion layer also provides shock absorption, as well as long lasting comfort. The heel is made from Vygel, which provides extra shock attenuation. The company says studies show a significant improvement in back pain when the inserts are used. More articles from A.
