Safety & Health Expo 2005 will see DuPont Personal Protection exhibiting three new products.

Nomex MetalPro is a multi-component protective yarn for garments that protect against molten iron sparks and splashes. It is said to improve the shedding properties, to discard hot iron splashes quickly and provides a protection:weight ratio that is one of the best in its class. Garments made of Nomex MetalPro are designed to counteract the high risk of heat stress caused by physical exertion under very hot conditions.

Kevlar Armor Technology and Kevlar Stretch Armor Technology comprises hand and wrist protection for high risk situations.

Suitable for people who handle blades, glass sharp serrated metal objects or dangerous abrasives, it is said to afford excellent manual dexterity.

The company has also extended its Tyvek and Tychem product portfolio with new designs that have integrated thumb loops, socks and ankle flaps for extra protection and fit.
