One network system
February 1st 2004 Now available with Safety Key and Access Key adaptors, Fortress Interlocks AmGard AS-i range of heavy duty machinery access control products connect directly to AS-i Safety at Work control networks.
AS-Interface (AS-i) is a cabling system that allows machinery safety equipment to operate in parallel with standard machinery controls on a single network with a common communications protocol. All AmGard AS-i products are suitable for Category 4 applications.
The system simplifies machinery installation and maintenance, eliminates dual circuit cabling costs, and provides diagnostics. In addition it enables process and safety sensors to operate on the same network and has an error checking system.
The new Fortress AS-i products include solenoid controlled and standard gate switches. Override key release enables authorized solenoid override in the event of power failure. More articles from Fortress Interlocks Ltd: |
