ATEX approval February 1st 2006 Chemineer was one of the first companies to gain ATEX approval for use of its mixers and agitators in Zone Zero hazardous areas. It now offers upgrades to those needing to adhere to new legislation.
The Directive applies to equipment that has its own source of ignition; is intended for use in a potentially explosive atmosphere (air mixtures); and is under normal atmospheric conditions.
Mixers not complying with ATEX can be cost-effectively upgraded by Chemineer. The company has achieved ATEX Zone 1 for its XP, MR, HS and Greerco high shear mixers.
Chemineer has also achieved compliance with ASME-BPE quality which demonstrates an exemplary standard for manufacturing high purity equipment.
The company says it is one of the first manufacturers of mixers and adaptors to achieve the stringent requirements of the EU's Pressure Equipment Directive (PED).
