Whether it is just for a few hours, overnight or for a few days, outdoor noise measurements can be a problem, especially with the unpredictable weather that we experience in the UK.

The increasing number of environmental noise assessments that need to be made make it essential for a solution that is both cost effective and reliable.

Cirrus Research provides a range of different noise measurement solutions that are protected from the elements, from data logging sound level meters to purpose-designed permanent noise monitoring systems.

Each system has been tried and tested to withstand the weather, while being simple and easy-to-use.

Included are the CR:811B type 1 data logging sound level meter and the CK:508 lightweight outdoor measurement kit. The sound level meter can log and store data for more than seven days, with the sound level meter and microphone protected from the elements.

Where there is a need for more long term monitoring, the company can provide solutions for permanent installations, including the CR:243/4 Noise Pole noise monitor, a special design that uses a standard lamppost to house the noise monitoring terminal.
