Cutting noise
February 1st 2005

Available from Wyko Industrial Services, the Paulstra Strasonic acoustic insulation system is designed specifically to reduce airborne noise in industrial applications.

The unit is supplied in easy to install panels and can reduce noise levels by up to 25 decibels.

Three basic types are offered: Polyurethane foam panels have a self-adhesive backing and are suitable for applications with temperatures from -25 to 110°C.

Fire resistant Melamine resin based foam panels are for use where temperatures to 150°C are expected and where levels of fire resistance M1/UL94 B1/DIN 4102 are required.

For use in similar applications, but where there is presence of oil and high fire risk, an NBR-pvc based foam panel provides a solution.

Cellular rubber panels are also included in the range and can reduce high frequency noise levels by up to 27 decibels.
