Site under surveillance

At Oldbury Aluminium Alloys in the West Midlands, RemGuard Visual Management's event-driven, remotely controlled CCTV solution is helping combat out-of-hours attacks on the premises. In a recent incident, the system was activated leading to the arrest and prosecution of two suspects.

The system consists of cameras and detectors placed strategically around the site and linked by specialised transmission equipment to a Remote Video Response Centre operated by RemGuard Visual Management.

When a detector was activated recently, operators at RemGuards RVRC realised one of the cameras on site had been knocked out of position. They were able to track down an intruder and alert the police, who arrived in time to arrest that individual and another nearby.
