OCS Technical has designed, manufactured and installed a tailor-made solution to enable cleaning and maintenance to be carried out safely to the exterior and atrium of The Crown Estate's new development in Regent Street.

The company supplied a Building Maintenance Unit (BMU) with 17.5m telescopic jib onto the roof of the development. The device, nicknamed Supergun by site staff, can be used to suspend a two-man cradle, also provided by OCS, to access all four elevations.

To access the atrium, a tailor-made gantry has been installed, having been carefully designed to match the cladding so that it can be stored out of sight when not in use.

Through its three divisions - safety, access and mechanical & electrical - OCS Technical surveys premises and recommends, installs and maintains safety, mechanical, electrical and access systems.
