Lone worker unit approved by police
June 1st 2008

Connexion2 has received an ACPO (Association of Police Officers) Secured by Design Award for its Identicom range of lone worker devices.

The company can now use the SBD logo which provides security specifiers, managers and customers with reassurance that the produce provides a realistic level of resistance to criminal attack.

Jon Cole, licensing and technical manager of ACPO Crime Prevention Initiatives, says "Identicom is a fit-forpurpose lone worker protection device that, when used in conjunction with good working practice, credible user training and quality BS5979 standard monitoring, can provide excellent support to lone workers at risk of attack, verbal abuse or 'man down' type risks such as slips and falls."
