Monitors mobiles April 1st 2008 Lone worker protection
provider, Semita has
developed a "Monitored
Mobile Phone" service which
allows users to retain their
existing mobile phones.
Dedicated numbers are
programmed into the Speed
Dial memory which allows
access to Semita's Alarm
Receiving Centre (ARC) and
its associated services.
Semita uses a 24 hour
manned ARC which has a
built-in audit trail at every
stage with full evidential
voice recording of incidents
so that any event can be
investigated in depth.
A Pre-Alert service allows
the user to leave messages
about an event, creating a
mini risk assessment and
supplying detailed
information which is available
if an SOS Alert is activated.
Upon receipt of the SOS alert
the ARC will be able to
identify and locate the user
and acquire their data.
