A lone worker system on show at olympia
August 1st 2006 OmegaIP will be demonstrating its automated lone worker protection solution at the Total Workplace Management show at Olympia in October.
The 24h, 365 days a year automated system keeps track of all workers' appointments, raising alarms in a variety of ways using Omega IP's unified communications system to guarantee communication to colleagues or supervisory staff.
The process behind the system is the ability to schedule comfort calls to lone/vulnerable workers at intervals that can be customised from 10min to 2h via a standard mobile phone. Workers must acknowledge these calls using a pin code. Failure to acknowledge the call, entry of an incorrect code or entering any of the digits will result in an alarm being raised.
The company offers a range of devices for mandown panic systems, including specialist mobile phones, bluetooth devices and other GSM equipment. A track and trace location service is available once an alarm has been activated. More articles from Omega I.P.: |
