Redkite Systems has been awarded 'approved partner' status from Psion Teklogix.

The partnership will enable the company, together with identification solutions provider ritchey-id to develop asset management solutions for organisations that are required to regularly assess the condition of operational equipment, either by mandatory health and safety regulations or for identification and management purposes.

Redkite's Equipment Management System is based upon Psion Teklogix Workabout Pro handheld computer. Together with durable, polypropylene labels from ritchey-id which form the link between the software reader and the equipment to be identified, the system provides a barcode or RFID-enabled solution to speed information capture.

Equipment can be quickly located and identified from anywhere in the world and the system allows safety inspection and inventory details to be input while safety inspectors and operational staff are on the road.

The robust labels are said to offer a cost-effective solution to compliance with health and safety legislation.
