Tackling alcohol misuse
April 1st 2011

A charity which provides advice to businesses on workplace health issues, Health@Work (H@W)is helping to lead a 30 month project, funded partly by the European Commision which aims to deal with alcohol misuse through the workplace.

The first phase of work will be a review of existing good practice across Europe. After this a series of 12 pilot schemes will be developed and implemented in the UK and throughout Europe.

Frances Molloy, chief executive at Health@Work, said: "Our charity is proud to be one of the lead partners in this initiative. The toolkit we are developing will help inform future policy on alcohol and act as a guidance for businesses on an international level, on how to deal with alcohol issues in the workplace."
