Cage enhances safety

Plus Plan has improved safety and operational efficiency since buying three lpg-powered 4t Combilift multi-directional forklift trucks and two detachable personnel cages. The trucks had to be capable of working round the clock on less than perfect surfaces. As space is tight, multi-directional capability was essential. The company also wanted to fit an attachment to the forks to enhance the safety of its order picking staff. The picking cage is quickly attached to the trucks forks when needed. Fitted with its own forks to hold a stillage it spans the width of the warehouse aisles and has protective door catches and overhead bars. This lets operators pick consignments safely and more quickly.
