Chloride Motive Power is offering users of traction batteries a series of safety posters for use in charging areas. The A4 posters are free-of-charge and are encapsulated for longevity.

The three posters cover operation and maintenance instructions for lead-acid batteries, precautionary measures and care instructions.

Included are tips on charging, topping-up, daily and weekly maintenance routines, use of a hydrometer, common mistakes, identification of potential dangers and remedial instructions in the event of an acid spill.

The company can provide a dedicated safety station that includes items such as rubber gloves, face visors, aprons, masks, eye wash and soda ash to neutralise spills.
