Launch of new lift
August 1st 2007

The Type A platform lift from the Platform Lift Company provides buildings that have to comply with the Disability Discrimination Act with a design solution that doesn't affect the foundations or historic value of a property.

The DDA-compliant platform lift is freestanding and comes with its own 1h fire rated shaft. To suit both contemporary and traditional interiors, it offers standard powder coating, stainless steel or glazed panels.

Installation has minimal impact on the structure of a building and reduces labour costs. The shaft can be erected by simply cutting a 50mm pit in the floor with a 3 or single phase power supply.

Safety features include, a slip resistance floor and a rigid handrail. The lift has contact sensitive perimeter safety edges that stop the lift when touched. Fire rated doors are self-closing with a power opening option.
