Giving a lift to maintenance
June 1st 2008 A JD Neuhaus Profi puller
winch has helped maintain
electric power and water
supplies for an American
city. Routine maintenance
performed by the Salt River
Project company, responsible
for utility services for
metropolitan Phoenix, involved
removal of a refurbished
machine rotor, weighing
several tons, from its
packaging. The rotor was
lifted clear of a production
area by overhead crane once
clear of the crate. The job of
pulling the rotor was handled
with an air-operated winch
