Drum Handling System for Barbados March 25th 2008 Packline have recently developed a Drum Handling System for a Barbados Medical Creams and Ointment Manufacturer.
The customer required a purpose designed Drum and Drum Lifting Device which they could use to lift and carry a specified amount of solution mix for their preparation process.
Overall dimension and capacity of the Drum were of the utmost importance and its construction needed to be crevice free and the material 316L Stainless Steel.
,The Drums once filled hold approximately 150 litres of solution, they then needed to be lifted, transported to the production line, and then poured into the processing machinery.
Packline provided the solution, by working closely with a specialist Drum manufacturer to achieve the exact design requirements and by adapting the company’s popular Stainless Steel Mobile Lifter the “Compac” with a purpose designed Drum Clamp Attachment.
From initial trials of the first system the customer has reported major improvement in productivity and is ready to place orders to cover his total production requirements.
Chris Baker M.D. mentioned some of the benefits of using Packline he said “one of the company’s unique selling points is to the ability to provide Bespoke Design Solutions, he went on to say “the “Compac” Lifters modular design and the company’s comprehensive range of interchangeable lifting attachments enables the company to provide cost effective solutions within a relatively short lead time”.
