Ceiling-mounted vacuum lifter June 1st 2007 AL-Vac has developed a
ceiling-mounted vacuum
lifting unit with flexible
movement to enable it to
operate safely over extensive
work areas.
The AL-Vac rail-mounted
system consists of two rails
that run the length of the
work area. They are attached
either to overhead beams or
mounted on pillars, spanned
by a cross rail.
All the steel profile rails
are open on the underside
and contain wheeled rollers.
The vacuum tube, ending in
the vacuum head and
control handle, is suspended
from the cross rail to ensure
the system can move sideways
as well as backwards
and forwards. This gives it
coverage across the entire
work area served by the rails.
The vacuum pump is
outside the perimeter of the
rails, and the feeding
vacuum hose is suspended
from one of the longitudinal
rails and the cross rail.
The standard system
handles loads to 40kg;
heavier duty systems can be
provided. More articles from Al-Vac UK Ltd: |
