Big bags moved with ease April 1st 2007 A British company has devised a handling system for the handling and storage of big bags (known as FIBCs). Often the mechanical movement of these large bags is completed by two operators using a forklift truck and usually involves an employee clambering over the bags in order to hook the 'drooping' loops onto the tines. The Looplifter bag transforms bag handling, loading and stacking, and is a safe, quick, one-man, non-stop operation. A sprung positioning device is sewn into the bag during manufacture. This positions the bags' loops so that they can be picked up by the forklift tines without any manual help, even after compression, and at no time is the operator required to leave his forklift.
