Nifty towing solution
February 1st 2008

A tow tractor from Bradshaw Electric Vehicles is helping Niftylift to transport parts the quarter of a mile from its stores to its production area on public roads.

Derrick Osborne, of Niftylift, explains: "We opened our new stores in April this year and were faced with the problem of transporting the materials in kit form from there to the assembly area. We looked at various options to do this, including a van and even a milk float, but found an electric tow tractor and trailer to be the most economical option." The tow tractor, which is customised in Nifty green is used all day and then charged overnight ready for use the next morning. Niftylift opted for the T6 model which is capable of towing up to seven tonnes.
