DESIGNED TO EASE DRUM MOVEMENT
December 1st 2004

Southworth Handling says that in many cases where drums are tightly packed on a pallet, the only way to remove them is to site the drum truck alongside the pallet.

Once the automatic catch has the drum firmly gripped, it can be tilted back clear of the pallet and lowered to the ground using the integral hand operated winch.

This method prevents pallet damage and is said to improve safety levels for a task that has always been potentially hazardous.

Suitable for steel or plastic drums with a rim, the Drum Buddy DB350W weighs just 20kg and, with its sprung third wheel, allows operators to move drums over a distance and through standard doorways.

The range can handle most drums between 60 and 210l capacity and there are models to suit different applications.
