Training courses for forklift drivers August 1st 2006 Conversion training is just one of the courses offered by Bendi Driver Training, the training arm of Translift Bendi. Designed to convert an operator from one kind of forklift operation to another, it is a two-day course with one trainer teaching up to three drivers.
Basic training is offered, not just on articulated Bendis, but on all kinds of warehouse trucks. This involves a one-week course for novice operators at their own premises or at Bendi Driver Training's Redditch centre. Refresher courses and re-tests are available.
One area where Jonathan Handley, MD, feels many companies are failing to comply with the law is in the supervision of safe lifting operations, as prescribed by the 1998 PUWER regulations. Bendi Driver Training offers one day seminars on this topic and 10-day accredited instructor courses.
Also available is a pocket guide - Forklift safety, a novice operator's guide to pivot-steer forklift trucks (6). More articles from Translift Bendi Limited: |
