SHAFT AND ROLL HANDLING SYSTEMS

Arrowhive Equipment, a UK supplier of Schlumpf shaft and roll handling systems has provided handling solutions for a number of UK label printers and converters.

A hoist-based MRT-330 manual roll turner has been supplied to Baker Self Adhesive Labels (London) and an RWM with a new automatic gravity centre device (auto-level feature) has been delivered to a converter making industrial fabrics and geo-synthetic materials for the construction industry.

A film converter near Swindon uses a manually propelled CSH-300-p shaft inserter/extractor to draw the shaft and take it from the machine without risk of injury to the operator or damage to the component.

The device has a fixed extracting bed to safely cradle winding shafts horizontally, ergonomic handlebar, two fixed castors, two swivel castors and a floor brake.
