On-board weighing

A range of on-board load monitoring and weighing systems for forklift trucks has been introduced by RDS Technology.

Competitively-priced and easy to use, the systems maintain accuracy and are suitable for load weighing in distribution centres, yard and warehouse environments and for check-weighing incoming/outgoing goods.

A hydraulic load sensor is used to measure the increase in system pressure and the Liftalert informs the operator of load as a percentage of the preset maximum capacity. When this is approached and at overload point an alarm sounds to warn the operator of load status. This helps the driver avoid tip-over and increases truck safety.

Liftlog 100 is a progression of the Liftalert's functionality. As well as overload alarms, it displays the load as a live weight.

Also available, the SID 200 is a speed and distance monitoring instrument that warns the operator when the vehicle travels in excess of the speed limit.
