Latest lift truck is omni-directional

Airtrax UK has introduced an omni-directional lift truck to the UK and Ireland. The Sidewinder ATX-3000 electrically-operated, four wheel drive system is able to travel in all directions, making it suitable for work in tight spaces where turns are not possible and where exceptional inching capability is required.

The truck has a 48V AC power system with state-ofthe- art control technology, variable lift speed and variable travel speeds (up to 6.2mph). Visibility is described as excellent and the sidewinder has ergonomic joystick controls and a high level of operator comfort.

The combination of omnidirectional technology and four wheel drive system is said to give the lift truck superior traction and braking. Transmission and motor bearings are lubricated and sealed for life, resulting in the modular drive units being maintenance-free.
