INTELLIGENT SAFETY SYSTEM FOR TRUCKS

Atlet has introduced an automated safety system to its UNS Tergo reach trucks.

The S3 (Stability Support System) is said to achieve the perfect balance between maximum productivity and maximum safety, enabling high work rates while eliminating the risk of accidents to truck, driver, racking and loads.

The system ensures that experienced reach truck drivers can operate to their full potential under all conditions and that inexperienced or novice drivers can operate faster, with S3 automatically preventing them from exceeding safety limits.

The intelligent electronic methodology uses the UNS Tergo’s onboard computer and comprises interfacing sensors and height measurement inputs to provide failsafe stability when stacking and travelling.

With S3, drive speed is governed by the truck’s steer angle, and the direction, height and reach of its forks.
