Blanks for safety

With lift truck safety an ever important issue in manufacturing and logistics operations, DLoG is adding value to its range of IT solutions by offering anew function to its MPC 6 and IPC 7 vehicle mounted terminals, designed to increase safety, efficiency and cost savings. This optional feature enables the screen to automatically switch to blank mode while the truck is in motion and when the lift mechanism is operated. This prevents the driver from being distracted by viewing/operating the screen while driving – resulting in faster and safer operation.

Screen blanking is said to be an invaluable tool in reducing the number and severity of accidents involving fork lift trucks.

The screen blanking function can be easily customised to meet the requirements of different vehicles, while the integral software enables a time delay to be selected before the screen switches blank, such as for very short journeys; and for minimum stationary time before the screen switches back on.
