Barrier boosts safety February 1st 2005 When the Royal Mail was considering safety posts and barriers for its regional distribution centre at Daventry, architects Watson and Batty specified Berry Systems.
The company provided a range of tailor-made solutions to protect staff, visitors plant and vehicles.
Most of the barriers were designed with integral handrails mounted on Berry’s spring steel buffers.
They were installed by Berry’s own installation team working through main contractor Browmer & Kirkland and involved 400m of barrier rail.
Flexible steel fittings and plastic end caps were used, where necessary, to avoid injury or damage caused by sharp exposed ends and corners.
The barriers have boosted safety at the centre that is used by HGVs, forklifts and wheeled trolleys. More articles from Berry Systems: |
