TRUCK SCALE HELPS PREVENT OVERLOAD

Avery Weigh-Tronix has launched an onboard forklift truck scale that can lift, weigh, move and record palletised loads in one operation. The company says using the system helps outbound vehicles to be loaded more safely and evenly to avoid dangerous operation and overload fines.

The system can guide a driver through the loading process to ensure safe weight distribution of pallets on to trailers or to make best use of warehouse shelving space.

Printed proof of diligence, detailing pallet positioning and total load weight, proves that a vehicle is fit to travel in the event of a roadside spot check.

Weigh Bar weight sensors and out-of-level compensation deliver accurate readings even when fork positions change, when wheels are on uneven surfaces or if the mast is tilted.

The WI-125 indicator requires minimal space and is simple to operate.
