August 1st 2006 The new ShockSwitch AC (access control and monitoring) unit from Lamerholm Electronics is a low cost system for restricting access to forklift trucks to authorised drivers only.
Packed with features, in line with the HSE recommendations for Workplace Transport Safety, the ShockSwitch AC will ensure that operators, assets and companies' health and safety interests are all protected to a high standard.
The device has an integrated driver certificate monitoring facility. This means that driver competency can be checked and constantly improved, while the tamper-proof hardware identifies every authorised driver. The addition of the ShockSwitch AC unit to a factory or warehouse environment answers many safety concerns for users as it actively checks and reports on driver qualifications.
