INTELLIGENT TRUCK SAFETY SYSTEM

Atlet has introduced an automated safety system on its UNS Tergo range of reach trucks. The system S3 (Stability Support System) enables high work rates while eliminating the risk of accidents to driver, truck, racking and loads.

S3 is designed to ensure that experienced reach truck drivers can always operate to their full potential. Inexperienced drivers can operate faster as S3 prevents them exceeding safety limits.

The intelligent electronic methodology uses the UNS Tergos powerful onboard computer to provide greater failsafe stability when stacking and travelling. Drive speed is governed by the trucks steer angle and the direction, height and reach of its forks. As the truck lifts higher, S3 reduces its speed automatically to ensure it remains within safe operating parameters. Speed reductions are smooth, progressive and stepless.
