Safer goods retrieval
April 1st 2004

Goods arriving loose loaded in high cubed 12m sea containers cause problems for many import companies with regard to their unloading.

Goods are often stacked to the containers ceiling, making it difficult for staff to reach them safely.

The Newland MTC135 Manrider from Newland Engineering provides a solution. It is a multi-telescopic belt conveyor with either a one-man or two-man carrying platform.

Positioned on the platform, the operator can extend, raise and lower the telescopic booms into the container by means of a push button console on the front of the boom.

The platform has hand rails on both sides. Its depth, width and rail height can be tailored to the task.
