Boxes pass UN test December 1st 2005 Schoeller Arca Systems has developed a UN-Certified container for the transportation of seat belts with pre-tensions for various car manufacturers.
Belts arrive at the manufacturers ready charged with an explosive propellant that pulls the seat belt into the driver or passenger.
Schoeller Arca Systems worked with a belt maker on the development of a container to handle explosive charge.
The Integra returnable container was chosen as it has an attached lid that keeps products safely inside during transit. The box also contains four vacuum formed trays to allow the seat belt pretensioners to sit and pack safely within the container.
The box was tested by PIRA, an independent company certified to test packaging to UN standards.
The box was dropped - the seat belts stayed inside and the charge was contained. More articles from Schoeller Arca Systems: |
