Racking uprights given protection

Following extensive trials, Nisa-Today has chosen Just Barriers to supply and install Rackdefender upright protectors for every rack upright at its new NDC in Scunthorpe.

The facility has more than 49 000 racked pallet positions and almost 4500 exposed racking uprights.

The protector is a flexible device that fits around the upright. It is made from a rubber compound and designed to ensure good impact dispersal and absorption qualities.

Rackdefenders have a resettable warning strip to prompt inspection and this eliminates any risk of hidden damage. The impact warning strip and ease of inspection make the device an effective means of keeping on top of racking damage, and properly addressing and complying with health and safety issues associated with warehouse racking.
