The Betafresh respiratory system from Kemppi (UK) is a complete package that comprises air flow unit, Beta welding helmet and lightweight ecologically friendly NiMh battery, hose, belt, battery charger and filter.

The airflow unit, weighing just 900g, is strapped to the back of the operator, allowing him/her complete freedom to carry out normal welding operations.

It absorbs air efficiently through the P3 filter so that only clean air is fed through to inside the welders helmet. The pressure inside the helmet prevents any outside contaminated air entering the helmet.

The flow of fresh air into the helmet can be adjusted in eight steps from 160 to 210l/min. If the flow falls below 140l/min, an audible and visual alarm will warn the welder, thereby increasing safety.

The equipment can protect against dust particles, solid and liquid aerosols, and smoke.
