Three year contract
April 1st 2006 A three year contract awarded by Southern Water to Draeger Safety Gas Detection Systems covers the replacement, maintenance and calibration of all the water company's fixed gas detection systems.
Ensuring compliance with current legislation, Draeger has supplied systems to more than 130 sites.
Replacing each of Southern Water's existing detectors with the latest technology, Draeger's Total Care package means that all detectors and sensors are guaranteed for the duration of the contract.
Offering flexibility for future regulation changes, the intelligent sensors offer reduced calibration intervals and traceable calibration data for each sensor. Costs are fixed for the period of the contract.
Incorporating the Draeger Sensor Exchange Programme, the contract includes supply and maintenance of the Regard 3800 controller with Polytron 3000 and Polytron 2IR sensors. Regard 3800 is a multichannel, universal control system for use with either 4-20mA transmitters or Polytron SE-Ex measuring heads. The Polytron 3000 is an intrinsically safe gas detector for the continuous monitoring of toxic gases and oxygen in ambient air.
