Silica dust – new campaign

As part of European health and Safety week, Amicus launched a campaign to protect workers from the health hazards associated with breathing in Silica dust.

These include Silicosis, an irreversible disease that usually takes years to develop causing breathing problems which can be severely disabling and, in extreme cases, can lead to premature death.

Amicus has signed up to a European Social Dialogue agreement on silica dust.
