Ejects the dust for ejection seat maker February 1st 2006 A Nonflam W120 from Carter-Thorne is providing dust extraction for polishing operations at Denham-based Martin-Baker, manufacturer of aircraft ejection seats.
Dust created in polishing titanium, stainless steel and aluminium components is safely removed by the outdoor-mounted Nonflam, using a water-filled tank through which dust and residues are drawn by an impellor fan. Associated ducting was designed and installed by Carter-Thorne.
Particles drawn into the Nonflam by the impellor sink to the base of the collection tank, where they may be removed by raking into a container. Automatic sludge removal systems are available.
Water level in the unit is automatically controlled.
Nonflam units are available with a range of fans precisely rated for individual applications - to 7.5kW in cases where it is necessary to remove sticky or oily dust from the metal being treated.
