HELPING TO MAINTAIN HOSPITAL AIR QUALITY December 1st 2004 Helping to ensure the air quality at St Thomas’s Hospital in London, Jasun Filtration has provided filters for some of the airhandling units within operating theatres, wards and general offices.
The company provided the hospital with various grades of air filters, ranging from EU3 to EU8 across the full range from panel to bag types. Filters are changed on a regular basis by St Thomas’s inhouse maintenance team.
Air quality is a critical issue in patient care. If it is poor, health care providers too can be exposed to toxic, hazardous gases and particulates.
Jasun Filtration uses Kimberley-Clark’s Intrepid filter media that is designed as an alternative to traditional cotton/poly media. Made from thermally bonded, continuous hydrophobic polyolefin fibres, the Intrepid media is designed not to shed fibres or absorb moisture. More articles from Jasun Filtration Plc: |
